The Tale of Madness and Love

On this day of hearts, I'm posting one of my favorite internet articles I found long ago. I don't know who is the real author of this since there had been a lot of posts on this already. We could say anonymous, or we could say.. someone wise. :) Happy Hearts day everyone!

The Tale Of Madness and Love

A long time ago, before the world was created and humans set foot on it for the first time, virtues and vices floated around and were bored, not knowing what to do.

One day, all the vices and virtues were gathered together and were more bored than ever. Suddenly, Ingenious came up with an idea: "Let's play hide and seek!"

All of them liked the idea and immediately Madness shouted: "I want to count, I want to count!" And since nobody was crazy enough to want to seek Madness, all the others agreed. Madness leaned against a tree and started to count: "One, two, three..."

As Madness counted, the vices and virtues went hiding. Tenderness hung itself on the horn of the moon, Treason hid in a pile of garbage. Fondness curled up between the clouds and Passion went to the center of the earth. Lie said that it would hide under a stone, but hid at the bottom of the lake, whilst Avarice entered a sack that he ended up breaking. And Madness continued to count: "... seventy nine, eighty, eighty one..."

By this time, all the vices and virtues were already hidden - except Love. For undecided as Love is, he could not decide where to hide. And this should not surprise us, because we all know how difficult it is to hide Love.

Madness: "...ninety five, ninety six, ninety seven..." Just when Madness got to one hundred, Love jumped into a rose bush where he hid.

And Madness turned around and shouted: "I'm coming, I'm coming!"

As Madness turned around, Laziness was the first to be found, because Laziness had no energy to hide. Then he spotted Tenderness in the horn of the moon, Lie at the bottom of the lake and Passion at the center of the earth. One by one, Madness found them all - except Love.

Madness was getting desperate, unable to find Love. Envious of Love, Envy whispered to Madness: "You only need to find Love, and Love is hiding in the rose bush."

Madness grabbed a wooden pitch fork and stabbed wildly at the rose bush. Madness stabbed and stabbed until a heartbreaking cry made him stop. Love appeared from the rose bush, covering his face with his hands. Between his fingers ran two trickles of blood from his eyes.

Madness, so anxious to find Love, had stabbed out Love's eyes with a pitch fork. "What have I done! What have I done!" Madness shouted. "I have left you blind! How can I repair it?"

And Love answered: "You cannot repair my eyes. But if you want to do something for me, you can be my guide."

And so it came about that from that day on, Love is blind and is always accompanied by Madness.

"Doubt thou the stars are fire;
Doubt the sun douth move;
Doubt truth to be a liar;
But never doubt that I love."

Board message 1:

Sharing with you probably one of the best SMS quotes I've received and it goes:

"Sometimes you just have to forget the rules, follow your hear and see where it takes you... Never apologize for saying what you feel because it's like saying for being real. Never regret anything you said or did because at some point, it was what you wanted.. True strenght is being able to hold it all together when everyone else is expecting you to fall apart."

...How true.

What I've been up to.

For more than 3 days now, I've been unable to get 8 hours of sleep, work on my magazine articles, update my blog and well, get enough sleep.

So what's the root cause of this zombie-mode?

3 things that has become my recent addiction (after having none for such a long time XD):

Plurk.
- What can I say? Chatting is addicting right? Know what happens to me every minute of my life.. I don't mind, that's why I plurk right? XD +1 Karma point! Woohoo!~

Deviant art.
- I've been uploading my old and new photo collection taken either by camera phone or with a DSLR. Hope you drop by and check out my work! I'm happy to be getting good responses and favorites so far! Just click on the link and you'll be directed to my page! :D

Patapon.
- This simply adorable 2008 nominated PSP Game of the Year totally got me hooked and not to mention exercising whenever I try to follow the beats! I can't help but dance or tap to the tune as I march my Pata pata pata pons into missions and eventually lead them to Earthland! Currently at Mission 30, I wonder when I'll finish this? Patapon 2 is soon to come out already! ~XD

A cute artwork on Patapon copying the poster of the movie "300".
Kudos to the creator! (Sorry I couldn't find the site source)
The falling Zarapons knocked me out!XD

When lovesongs make a comeback

In this month of hearts, we expect to hear mushy songs keep on playing. But Celine Dion and Boys II Men days are way over rated so here are the hottest modern love songs that would give you a new tune to share with your lovey-dovey!

Starting off, here's a simple video but an awesome lyrics from Neyo in Mad.

After their hit song 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved', The Script makes another bang in Breakeven. (This was my LSS last week and after hearing this song again, I just couldn't get it off my head again!) "What am I supposed to do when the best part of me was always you~"

Ms. American Idol Kelly Clarkson goes for a clean and simple song--not to mention look, in My Life Would Suck Without You, currently the #1 song in Billboard's hit chart!

Falling inlove with someone else is common... that's why Fall Out Boy (You don't call 'em Fall Out's for nuthin!) decided it was better to love their own sins! Here's why they haven't failed to amaze me: American Suitehearts - tune + video + concept = love.

(The official video isn't available for embedding yet so just watch the video here.)

And aside from mutual and ego-love, here's the one we dub thee as 'obsession'. Here's Pink in Please Don't Leave Me.

Want more? There's still a long list of songs to be featured next week! 'Til then! ^_~v
