Movie match up 2!

Now that Vday is closer than ever, widen your variety for movie choices in these upcoming flicks that'll either make or break your day (so choose what wisely.=p)

Love Happens stars Aaron Eckhart, a widow who became a best-selling self-help guru but meets Jennifer Aniston and realizes he himself has not yet confronted his own issues. I got to watch this already and it's a movie with a light story which I personally don't recommend worthwhile watching at the Cinema.

Dear John is a story about John (Channing Tatum), a young soldier on leave and Savannah (Amanda Seyfried), an idealistic college student who falls in love during spring break. As John returns to the field, the couple stays in touch by sending each other love letters in hopes to keep each other no matter how far they are apart. What seems to me like 'A Very Long Engagement' slash 'The Notebook', it's unsurprisingly because this movie was based on best-selling author Nicholas Spark's three-part book.

Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin collaborate in a romcom about a divorced couple who hooks up again making their life, their children, and their current relationships hilariously complex in It's Complicated.

If you're up to a less mushy movie but find a way to be clingy (*ugh*), you might want this Horror/ Thriller about a social worker named Emily Jenkins (played by Renee Zellweger) who fights to save a girl from her abusive parents, only to discover that the situation is more dangerous than she ever expected. Case 39 is currently showing in movie houses.

One for the kids, this movie is an adaptation of Maurice Sendak's classic children's story where Max, a disobedient little boy imagines and adventure to Where the Wild Things Are.

And coming to theaters this Feb. 17th, The Lovely Bones centers on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family - and her killer - from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal. This drama/ fantasy genre movie is a must-see list for me. :)

The Blind Boy and his hat

.
A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.
Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?"

The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way."
I wrote: "Today is a beautiful day but I cannot see it."

Both signs told people that the boy was blind.. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people that they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile –
Face your past without regret.
Handle your present with confidence.
Prepare for the future without fear.
Keep the faith and drop the fear.

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling -
And even more beautiful is - knowing that you are the reason behind the smile. :)

Otaku Expo 2010

.

Last Jan. 23-24, this year's Otaku Expo (going back to back with famous cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao's Maid Cafe) was help at the place where most anime and cosplay cons are held, SM Megamall's Megatrade Hall 2.

The usual swarm of your favorite and or not-so-mainstream anime characters have sprung to life and walked about the event as fans and onlookers alike enjoyed the celebration filled with anime stuff, contests and well--more anime!

I got to take part in that occasion as I became the Human Spear Maiden from Cubizone's Casvian Browser Game!

This awesome & intricate costume is made by Veni Testa.
(If you ever took photos of me, kindly share
them by leaving a link in the chat box here!:D)

Movie match-up

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and if you have someone special to spend it with, you've probably thought of a plan to make that day a bit different than usual But for those who are without a part, just because you're single doesn't mean you can't enjoy the day too! A good movie will always make your day and you never know, someone might notice and just pair with you... ^_~

And so what could even make it more obvious than Valentine's Day, a movie starring some big stars completing ten pairs! If you're going to watch this one, I suggest you book your tickets way ahead as this seems to be the movie of THE day. Showing this Feb. 12 in all Cinemas.

If you're hanging out with friends or a group that day, probably the good upcoming movies you'd enjoy and laugh about are Youth in Revolt starring Michael Cera (x2) and Tim Allen in Crazy on the Outside.

But if you're gonna be with your family, the Tooth Fairy starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be fun for the kids as much as Book of Eli with Denzel Washington will be for the adults.

And for the real reason for celebrating valentines, it's family that brings you to Extraordinary Measures in this heartbreaking Box Office Movie starring Brendan Fraser.

Love life! Happy Hearts Day! :)

Blame it on the pop!

.
It's 10pm and I feel drunk from lack of sleep and stress. But instead of hitting the sack and drifting of to some bizarre dreamland, I sit infront of the PC and bring you my love of featuring music! *Yawns big time*

Before 3oh3! released their song Starstrukk ft. Katy Perry, they sang Don't Trust Me, a funny and unsexy way to show of one's manliness but ironically is a song to trust that you'll keep on singing!

Paramore gets Brick By Boring Brick in this fantasy-like themed video coming from their album Brand New Eyes.

And while Hayley Williams did a bad job lip-syncing that video, Kelly Clarkson is Already Gone... gone up to the charts with this song!

One of my personal favorite bands and has been sorely quiet for some time, MCR or My Chemical Romance is rocking the town once again in Desolation Row!

Sooth your ears with Boys Like Girls and Taylor Swift in this mellow love song titled Two Is Better Than One.

And to end your quest for searching a new song, let DJ Earworm help you out with his amazingly catchy mash-up of 2009's Pop songs entitled United States of Pop 2009, a well blended song that's gonna make you want to parteeh afterwards! (If you liked this one, check out the rest of his other remixes in his youtube channel here.)

So there you have it, I'm out! Zzzzz..

Everybody say yeaaaah~

.
Finally able to gather enough new music to feature, here are the latest songs you shouldn't miss out!

As if the Jay-Z and Alicia Keys duet on Empire State of Mind wasn't such a hit, here's a second blast to the addicting New York-dedicated song featuring Keys' own emotional but still wonderful version!

After almost a year since Chris Brown's abuse scandal, he goes I Can Transform Ya (with Lil Wayne &Swizz Beats) and Crawls back to the music limelight with two latest singles coming from his new album Graffiti. Although I still don't fully know for myself if I still want to support him after that incident, I guess everyone deserves a second chance, specially if that someone makes a wonderful song it's regrettable to miss out!

(Did you notice Brown's marketing?! Videos available from embedding and MP3's free for download! Not to mention the girl in Crawl video uberly looks like someone from his past... =P)

One Republic finally goes back in the scene with All The Right Moves that's sure to bring them up the charts sooner than you think!

Jesse McCartney's Body Language is definitely music to my ears in this single ft. T-Pain.

And lastly, this band despite their music being used in one of the most celebrated movie in 2009, Muse continues to stay underground and be victorious with Uprising.

More features to watch out for next week so keep on reading! ;)
