The Zombies are alive!!!

.
The Zombies are alive!!!

Resident Evil Animation: Degeneration

Because fans just couldn't get enough of best surviving-horror game, Capcom has finally delivered it's first full-length CG (Computer Generated) Animation of Resident Evil in Biohazard: Degeneration!

Starring the loved duo of Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, they once again face the horror of what was left of Raccoon City: The T-virus spreading because of an enraged man swearing to take revenge on his way... by injecting the G-virus on himself and thus wreck havoc together with the other slithering zombies.

I'm really not a fan of horror games (they freak me out! >.<) but I find the CG Animation flawless, making each character human (not to mention zombies!) look so real. They're still frightful enough to give me a yip as the story and action lets you discover more about the virus and if it can ever be treated.

Fortunately, even if non-RE fans watch this, they would still somehow enjoy it because some background about the origins of the story/virus has been revealed and I think anyone who would watch Degeneration has also watched the Hollywood version of Resident Evil (RE 1, RE 2: Apocalypse and RE 3: Extinction) starring Mila Jovovich as the fictional RE-heroine Alice.

Although the CG movie is set in the same universe as the original game series, it won't seem to be part of future RE series as to keep the hour and a half of pure bite and shoot galore unique yet RE to the core!

The movie was released last October 18, 2008 (under Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan [they were first again?!]) but is now up for grabs in DVD. Here's the trailer to stir things up and make you want to go and pop some zombie heads again:

And the fun doesn't end there! The latest outbreak of evil is about to be released this March 2009 as Resident Evil goes on it's FIFTH series in PS3! It's "Ohh yeah" to the fans and "I-gotta-sum-up-the-courage-and-try-this-aaaaagggh!" for me! XD

Read more about it in it's official site or from IGN.

Bleach Movie 3!

Around episode 197, Bleach entrance started to show a different video with the usual opening song (Velonica by Aqua Timez). I had a hint it was a new movie, releasing another just like Naruto. And finally i got the answer, the title of the Bleach Movie 3 is Fade to Black - Kimi no Na o Yobu (I Call Your Name).

Little information is yet revealed about it although it already premiered in Japan last Dec. 13, 2008. (Crap, they're really lucky they get to be the first ones to enjoy anime releases! :c)

Plot of the movie:
(from http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=10055)

A mysterious reiatsu (spiritual particle) explosion occurs in the center of Seireitei in Soul Society, causing it to be destroyed. At the exact same time, a major change overwhelms Kuchiki Rukia, which leaves her losing something important inside. Urahara Kisuke sends Kurosaki Ichigo to Soul Society to investigate the disturbance. Upon reaching Seireitei, Ichigo is set upon and attacked by shinigamis, once allies, who have no memory of him and Rukia. Now alone and on the run, Ichigo must find the missing Rukia and uncover the cause of the mysterious incident before it's too late.

Here's a cool trailer of the movie taken from episode 199:

Although I'm not such a super fan of "Rukia-love-Ichigo-?" thing, I can't wait for it to be subbed already! Let's hope it's as good (or better) as The Diamond Dust Rebellion! :)

Of heaven & Hell

From the moment of conception, we have an immortal soul. It can never die.

When our bodies conk out, our souls will either "go home" or "go to hell".
And because it was created immortal, it will stay on living, breathing, moving-- either in total joy or in total misery.

In heaven or in hell, it will never die.

Lock & Loaded Part 2!

Because it took me to long to feature new songs, like I said in the previous Music Highlights, Man did they stack up! Here's another round of the songs I've missed to post!

First off, here's the song that really makes me want to try out Guitar Hero or any rock guitar just I could copy Hearts Bursts into Fire's intro by Bullet for My Valentine.

Next up comes from The Jonas Brothers with their love song-turned modern despite having a 70's themed video. (Still looks cool though) Get speechless, breathless and over the edge with LoveBug.

More from the Twilight Sountrack, here are nice song entitled Eyes on Fire by Blue Foundation and Leave All Out The Rest by Linkin Park. (Yep, it's not only Paramore who sand the whole OST mind you)

Here's two song for the LSS, Estelle's Pretty Please (Love me baby~) followed by Keane's The Lovers are Losing (I dream I had nothing at all, I dream I had nothing at all, I dream I had nothing at all... O_O")

Another song I heard over the radio, If This Isn't Love by Jennifer Hudson.

Let's follow it up with a soothing song from Jack Johnson's If I had Eyes (I noticed for some reason songs i feature right now has the word "eyes" O_O")

Bamboo is back with another album and they've still rocked it out with Kailan.

And for the support to indie OPM songs, here's Taken by Cars with Uh Oh (Uh oh, uh oh, ooohh~)

Next Music Highlights will be LOADED and posted before the New Year! Watch out for it! ;)
*LSS to Eyes on Fire second voice* XD

Lock & Loaded!

Wow, It's been a while since I posted some Music updates and did they stack up! Here are the latest from the old and new artists that disrupt the silence (in an extremely good way).

Going head to head with Paramore is Automatic Loveletter with their song Parker, another one for the "fave" playlist!

Staind lives and sings Believe in Me, filling their song with the usual great lyrics to ponder on.

The Fray is back and sings for the Emmy Award winning TV Series, LOST. I did like this show at first, but somehow Season 3 onwards bored me because the story progressed so slow (although yeah, the thrill is still there, there's just not much gusto anymore) so I really didn't get to know "what" is keeping Jack, Sayid, Emilie and the rest of the survivors in nowhere island. Here is the soundtrack of the next season of Lost (premiering this January 21, 2009), You Found Me.

Nickleback! Oh Nickleback is also back! Gotta be Somebody, listen to it now!

Now sing along to All American Rejects as they Give You Hell!

The Queen of Pop Rock's era is defnitely not over! Here's Pink with her latest song, Sober.

Good girl gone bad is finally in rehab! ...Kidding! Although Rihanna hasn't done anything wrong (which is of course, good although not so juicy to paparazzis), here's her new single entitled Rehab featuring Justin Timberlake as his model! Dissapointin vid though, it's less fierce than I expected.)

Lastly, after being inlove with a girl, Gavin DeGraw now thinks she Cheated on Me. Weird transition of themes in his album Chariot, but then again Music portrays a lot of things right?

The Three Tail's Arrival

After watching the latest episode of Naruto Shippuuden (86-87), the trailer of this awesome anime's THIRD movie just came out! "The Three Tail's Arrival" is set to be released in Japan on Dec. 18, 2008.

Here's the trailer:

Although this is another movie to watch out for, Naruto fans from other countries are starting to protest because the 3rd movie is already coming up and yet the English-subbed version for the 2nd movie "Bonds" which premiered last August 2008 is still not being released. But since it was shown in the Cinemas, it would naturally take some time before the DVD copies come out (which is after 5-6 months) and that's the only time it could be subbed.

To help you recall, here's the trailer of the 2nd movie:

Oh how I pray to the Shuriken gods the wait will end soon! We want to see Sasuke-kun! XD

The Morning Rush x2!

Do you listen to the radio every morning while preparing for school or going to work? Well I do. And I specifically listen to Monster Radio (RX 93.1)'s Morning Rush hosted by the brilliant Duo: Chico and Delamar. Every segment they have what they call "Top 10" where the topic of that day is talked about listeners text their funniest or weirdest anwers and thus broken into Top 10 every 30 Min. of the show. Of course aside from the Top 10 sharing (w/c is about a funny toppic most of the time), great music plays in the background too! (Do you really think RX would go... "alam mo na yan!" "Naka _ _ _ _ ka na ba?" Pleeaaasse! This is some quality station here!)

The funny and witty veteran radio and newspaper commentators keep my ears glued to their various topics every morning, most of the time making me and my household laugh out loud. Best thing about it is, a fan by the name of Blue Ritz uploads their Morning Rush segment everyday so I catch up to those topics I get to miss.

I don't know if this is illegal or not, but thanks to Blue Ritz for recording the Morning Rush! XD

Listen to their various topics everyday and I'm sure you'll enjoy it too! :D

Morning Rush airs at 6 am -9am, Mondays To Saturdays.
(And no, I am not paid to advertise this. XP)

Twilight Premieres tomorrow!

The much anticipated new hype since Harry Potter finally premieres tomorrow, Nov. 25 in Cinemas. Got an idea what I'm talking about? Of course it's no other than the hit novel Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.

Starring Kristen Stewart (Cold Creek Manor, Panic Room;) as Belle and Robert Pattinson (who finally got his break by starring in his own movie after dying in Harry Potter Goblet of Fire as Cedric Diggory) as the vampire Edward Cullen.

I haven't read the novel yet to be honest (crap) but it's too late for me to start reading it so I might as well watch it and see if it catches enough attention to make me read the novel again. I'm not really a fan of Vampire stories (a.k.a. Anne Rice, but i like Blade though!) so I'm hoping this modern-day love story of a vampire and human doesn't "SUCK"... if you know what I mean. XD

Music Overload: A Dash of Everything

There's a bunch of new hits out and I'm tapping into different genres for everyone's liking...or not. It's an overload of music and all you have to do is read and listen.

Starting off with the usual Pop, here's two previous girls with issues: Britney Spears is back and sexy once again in Womanizer and Christina Aguilera goes blue hair and modish vid in Keeps Getting Better. It's catchy, mind you. XD

Next is Pop-Emo band Fall Out Boy singing I Don't Care.

There's also one up for
Emo-Punk and it's probably from one of the best band of that genre, here's My Chemical Romance letting it be with Kill All Your Friends!

(There's no video for this yet unfortunately, but the audio alone makes me go ba-ba-baaa~!)

And of course Punk is part of the list, and this one is coming from the sountrack of the upcming movie slash hit novel, Twilight. Here's Paramore's I Caught Myself

This song has a more catchy tune than the other soundtrack Decode but I'm throwing in the Official Music Vid of it for your appreciation as well.

So what's the best alternative to Punk? It's no other than Alternative and unfortunately, i couldn't find anything latest from the usual bands of this genre but I do have a bit of a mushy-like song, it's Love Remains the Same from Gavin Rossdale, former lead singer and guitarist for the rock band Bush. FYI, he's Gwen Stefani's hubby if you didn't know.

There's still more in the list and Rap/Hip-Hop is next featuring Kanye West. He currently has 3 songs topping the charts but I prefer to share to you his Love Lockdown.

After the light rap, here's something hardcore from Rapcore (Rock Rap / Metal) from Hollywood Undead's Undead (Yeah that's the title of the song). Although I'm not a fan of this genre, I did like it though...except for the vid. Warning: Explicit content. Watch at your own expense.

Moving on, it's juts not all foreign music I'm featuring. Including this OPM that has become a part of my most favorite songs of all time, here's the latest from comeback-singer, Rico Blanco's Your Universe.

"I don't think that you even realize
The joy you make me feel when i'm inside
Your universe
You hold me like i'm the one who's precious
I hate to break it to you but its just
The other way around
You can thank your stars all you want but
I'll always be the lucky one"

*Sniff* This song makes me feel inlove!~XD

Lastly, here's the Opening song of my favorite Mecha-infused anime, Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure. (Fact: I didn't like Gundam nor Macross =.="I like Voltes V and Daimos though! XD)

I sooo miss watching this anime! :( (Hmm, should I make an anime review of this?:D)

...Well that's all of it! I told you i'd tap almost every genre! ^_^v

Bleach: RANTS & ...RANTS?!

We all know how much a hit Bleach has become. It definitely has a fairly unique storyline although Shinigami's (Death Gods) and abilities are an over-rated tandem in anime.

If you're watching this anime, you'd probably have an idea what i'm about to rant. If you haven't, better go through the anime first then I think you'd agree with me (lol).

I like Bleach. I really do! Ever since it first came out, I already got hooked and even had advanced reading of the storyline through the manga. I'm no Bleach geek though (I just download the episodes and OST) and that's it. But just because i'm no hardcore fan doesn't mean I don't have a say to the infuriating things I notice.

First is the obvious part. Bleach fans fell inlove with the story because of the storyline concerning Aizen and his band of exiled Shinigamis. As the story progressed, there were a lot of breath taking episodes... Then there were the fillers.

The filler stories in Bleach are like the lamest, yes LAMEST! fillers in the entire anime industry! I mean, those stories don't even make sense and is just a waste of download time and effort to watch it! As if the fillers connect to the main story anyway! I actually thought that if there was an official Bleach website (If there is, kindly share it) I'll flood the rant folder. >:) Well, not really flood, I'm no flamer lol.... Just wanted to have a clear explanation on why fillers almost show up and dominate half the whole series of Bleach. I don't even get the point why they include that! I mean, the artist or script writer could have just exerted the effort of continuing the story rather than making boring episodes about some ghost chef who'se lost in the living world making cupcakes... sheez! =.=" Good thing the manga somehow progresses and doesn't contain trash stories.

Bottom line is, We want Aizen!!! (Oh and give Kon some airtime too! XD)

Second rant is, (although I'm not sure if others would think this isn't something to fuss about), it's about the constant helplessness of the supposedly 'strong' character in Bleach... Inoue. Her constant sobbing of 'Kurosaki-kun!' whenever Ichigo gets beaten up is sooooo annoying! For the whole episode (take ep. 195) all she said the whole time was 'Kurosaki-kun' *sad, fears, sobs, sad,fears,sobs... * =.="! If she wasn't so weak, Ichigo won't get beaten in the first place. Rescuing the princess is such an over-rated story and I think Bleach is getting somewhere without having to include this kind of situation. I just can't help but wonder why Inoue gets to be so popular in the story though... Does her BIG bazonkers / BIG valleys / GINORMOUS mellon grenades (Quoting Lance) she keeps give her the leverage?! Hmmm... I'm starting to think Aizen isn't really interested with her healing powers at all.... Bwahaha! Hmmm.... *evil thought* Come on! Tell me you don't agree on this one?! >:)

I bet you first looked at her BIG BANKAI. >:)

And last but not least, I think Ichigo is going waaaay beyond being a hero already. It's nice that he keeps on protecting his friends and the like, but his gallantry is becoming a bit too exaggerated to the point that he talks a lot, charges a lot, and ends up getting his butt kicked or saved by some miracle or twist of the story. Take for example, (spoiler as it could be), there's Zengetsu at first, then the Vizards, out came Ichigo-hollow form, then Nel in true form, Zaraki Kempachi took the death blow for him and obviously his friends are part of the list and so is shockingly, Byakuya! <3>

Ichigo is cool as he already is, keeping a low profile like Byakuya or Hitsugaya could be a start. ;-p

After all that's been said, what's left to do is to sit and wait as each week pass by for the next episode releases, hoping my rant list won't get any longer than this. =.="
