Late Summer 2009

Some wore it, some rocked it, while others looked utterly dreadful in it. See your favorite stars in their red carpet outfits and how they are graded in Y! Entertainment's Fashion Report Card for Late Summer 2009.

Get excited for these Next pictures!

Coming in first is a movie that would seem to catch another wave of fan-sequel-attention a a novel-based story is set to hit the screens in 2010. Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief is about the chronicles and adventures of twelve-year-old Percy Jackson, who discovers he is a demigod, the son of a mortal woman and the Greek god Poseidon. Percy and his friends go on a quest to prevent an apocalyptic war between the Greek gods Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. The story contains a multitude of encounters with characters from Greek mythology still alive in modern times.

This fantasy novel is rated as a young-adult fiction 9th on New York Time's Best Seller list for children's books last Aug 2007. Playing Percy Jackson is Logan Lerman, a promising young actor who would either be the next Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) or Rob Pattionson (Edward from Twilight). He already has a few movies in his CV including casting in two upcoming movies this September such as "My One and Only" (starring Renee Zellwegger and Kevin Bacon) and "Gamer" (Gerard Butler).

I wouldn't wonder if Lerman stars getting fan girls from this trailer alone, he looks so cute! Lmao~XD

Next up by Wild Hogs duo John Travolta and director Walt Becker as they work together again to bring another comedy movie by Disney called "Old Dads".

Including some of the big names in comedy: Robin Williams, Seth Green and Justin Long, let's hope this movie does become a good comedy and not just some Daddy Day Camp-like movie.

Reminding you also of this Disney movie that's currently showing and has been hitting the box office charts is the 3-D movie of special Guinea Pigs in G-Force. Here's the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1-cK5P4EDE

Another animated movie called Cloudy wth a Chance of Meatballs. Yes, the movie title is that long as it implies foods falling from the sky and more comical treat following. Watch the trailer here:

The whole gaming field has reached a new level. In Gamer, it somehow captures the sense of the 2008 movie Death Race (starring Jason Statham) where players control other humans in actual combat! See the [shocking] possibilities this September!

And lastly, the role of a Vampire-ish/Demon-like highschool cheerleader that feeds on teenage boys has befallen Megan Fox in the thriller Jennifer's Body set to be released on September 18. Not her usual cup of tea and it looks kinda corny but since it's Fox, no matter how lame it may look, why do I have a feeling boys would surely still buy it? (not to mention she makes evil dark and sexy).

Music on the move

Music is all about staying on the groove while on the move! Here's a heap long of new songs to add to your playlist and put you in the mood for the road or a good walk. =D

Beyonce gets you grooving to her beat in yet another MTV with her dancing yet finally this time she adds more effects turning those previously beautiful nightmares into Sweet Dreams.

Previously doing her [unfortunately] short concert here in the Philippines, Lady Gaga has nothing else to say except "Eh Eh" back to back with Kanye West ft. Rihanna in Paranoid.

Embedding is disabled for both videos so just watch Lady Gaga's less club-like tune but still 80's-modern fab here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3-ObpD20NE and Kanye's vid here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QotGHaAHPk

Next up is a happy song intended to give a smile to anyone out there (and obviously for Coke's big time marketing), here's the multi-artist collaboratinon by Cee-lo ft. Brendon Urie, Patrick Stump, Travis McCoy, Cee-Lo Green and Janelle Monae in Open Happiness (Open Coke).

Another song to impress is Coldplay's Stawberry Swing, an overly entertaining and unique-conceptualized video I absolutely give all thumbs up to! (Of course the song is good as well although the video was the one that really gets the attention) :))

Emo-rock band Boys Like Girls are back with their latest single featuring Ashley Tisdale (of High School Musical) in Love Drunk and another beautiful song from All American Rejects (sadly disabled for embedding again! *pffft*) in The Wind Blows.

Debuting her single in the U.S. is UK singer-songwriter and actress Pixie Lott in Mama do (Ug Oh, Uh Oh) followed by Puerto Rican goddess Jadyn Maria in a great depiction of "Bad Boys" in her song Good Girls Like Bad Boys ft. Flo Rida (I sooo can relate to this song. HAHAHAHA!)

And to wrap things up, here's the fuzz everybody seems to be singing already. Following what seems to be Utada Hikaru's step into debuting in U.S., here's The Wonder Girls making the waves in the hit chart with their song Nobody Nobody (but chu!)

Chris Brown's 10 year-late Apology

Chris Brown's 10 year-late apology finally comes out! And although that may be an exaggeration on my part, the video brings more questions than pity for both fans and ex-fans (so to speak) alike.

After beating popstar-girlfriend Rihanna back in February, Chris Brown pleads guilty in court and has been sentenced to five years of supervised probation and six months of community labor. Undergoing the said terms, tainted popstar Chris Brown recently released what seems to be a 5-month late video of an apology for Rihanna and fans which went viral over his official site, MySpace and Youtube.

His 2-min video (alledly written by his lawyer), explains why the apology took so long to come out, tells how sorry he is for his past action, and how he now makes reprimands and come out as a better person after the incident.

How you would sympathize for his script or should I say "sincere apology" is up to you. We all have different opinions and whether you stick up for him or not will not be taken against you. His songs may still rock your playlist but let's hope this is indeed a sincere apology from him and will serve as a lifetime lesson not just for the rich and famous but to the norm as well.

Going Gaga to the Papa-paparazzi!

Finally here are another batch of songs I haven't been able to feature in a while and before they go off the charts and out of the fad, here's what you should be listening to right now!

Starting off with a surprising song by Pop group Cobra Starship, here's Good Girls Go Bad featuring none other than TV show Gossip Girl's 'Queen B' (Leighton Meester)! Didn't expect she could sing! (But for all I know it might be enhanced already...)

David Archuleta's Touch My Hands was previously hitting no. 1 in the charts before Jordin Sparks dethrones him as she prepares for what's coming in her latest song [Love is a] Battlefield.

A new girl group linked with P.C.D. makes their debut in the music world with their single Patron Tequilla. Here's Paradiso Girls ft. Eve.

Ely Buendia's band Pupil goes back into action with their latest song called Different Worlds. Intro takes some time but you'll get to the actual song don't worry.XD (And is it just me or why do I think it somehow sounds like Mandy Moore's Cry in Reggae version? Really---notice it, "Over and over again..." "...the moment I saw you cry" XD)

And last but definitely not the least, soon-to-be gracing the stage of Araneta Coliseum this 11th, Lady Gaga keeps those poses coming for the Paparazzi!

I can't wait to watch her and go gaga myself! So if you really want to watch her and you still haven't got your tickets, there's still time! Read the concert details here!

When once isn't just enough!

The death of former President Cory Aquino (may her soul rest in peace, AMEN) has been the major headlines of news everywhere. And although it's very clear that it's MRS. AQUINO who died a peaceful death from Colon Cancer, why the heck do our SERIOUS and VETERAN journalists keep on making such HUGE (and not to mention EMBARRASSING) mistakes?!

Typo? Conspiracy? Or simply an inside joke?

When one gaffe isn't enough, a second sure made the whole thing a joke. (Don't get me wrong, I understand how my fellow journalist feels so I'm not actually mad at the whole thing). Here are some of the "odd" or we could say "questionable" errors some major media companies have been making, it's turning out to be a running joke rather than thought of as human error. =))

(Note: At least this article was edited a few hours after the error has been realized)

Seriously guys, you're being too obvious already.
Stop. with. the. freakin'. hidden. meanings. A third ain't funny already. ('Coz your just tarnishing how journalism is supposed to be ACCURATE.)
