Swatch Art Contest: My "Bullish Art"

Recently browsing through the newspaper, I saw that the Philippine Star and Swatch has released their annual contest now commemorating the Year of the Ox by having an art contest on "Bulls".

To sum up the important notes on the contest:

1) Theme: “My Bullish Art”

2) Promo period: Dec 27, 2008 to Feb 18, 2009

3) Open to all medium of art: painting, PHOTOGRAPHY, sculpture, graphic design, arts & craft, etc.

4) Entry forms available daily in The Philippine STAR during the duration of the promo.

5) Entries may be brought personally to any Swatch store or kiosk accompanied with a completed entry form, contest guidelines acceptance form (available at any Swatch store or kiosk). Entries must be received by by 8 p.m. of February 18, 2009

6) ALL ENTRIES WILL AUTOMATICALLY BECOME THE EXCLUSIVE PROPERTY OF GIFT GATE, INC. and may be used, copied, reproduced and/or reprinted by Gift gate, Inc. into any size or medium for exhibition, advertising, promotion or whatever purpose. Contest participant further allows Gift Gate, inc. to use his/her name and/or image/likeness without limit in conjunction with his winning entry.

7) Judging will be on Feb 28, 2009, 2 p.m.

8) Prizes (participant can only win once, higher prize prevails): 1st - P100,000 plus Swatch, 2nd - P50,000 plus Swatch, 3rd - P30,000 plus Swatch, 4th - P20,000 plus Swatch, 10 Honorable Mention - Swatch

9) Winners will be announced in The Philippine STAR Pet Life Special on March 7, 2009


It seems quite hard to come up with works out of bulls since we don't have them here in the Philippines, but then again, that's why it's an art contest right? It's about creativity, finding the right medium and portraying it accordingly.
